Art Therapy
As a registered art therapist, I can guide you through the creative process to increase insight, develop coping skills, improve self esteem, work through traumatic experiences, and find joy.
I believe in a "no mistakes" philosophy of art making and no art experience is necessary.
Together we will discuss concerns, process feelings, and establish goals. The entirety of the studio will be yours to use however you want, completely private.
Don't want to make art?Not required.
All sessions can be a traditional, verbal session in the studio or a quiet, comfortable room.
Therapy Services

Art Therapy
Traditional Counseling
The studio is yours to create anything you want. Specialty materials are available, including any requested materials that align with therapeutic goals.
If you just want to talk with a traditional verbal model of counseling, there is a quiet, less stimulating therapy room. But the art studio will remain private and open to you at anytime.
Family Art Therapy
Payment
Is your family going through a big change? Grief? Divorce?
Let's work in a safe space to discuss family concerns, maybe get a little messy, and learn how to transition as a family. Great for children and teens.
Couples therapy not offered.
I accept BCBS PPO, United Healthcare, and Aetna insurance plans.
Self-pay is available at $130 for a 55min art therapy session and $100 for a 45 min traditional session.

Registered Art Therapist &
Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor
Meet Melissa Redmond
I founded Make Space to bridge the gap between traditional clinical therapy and the liberating power of an open art studio. My vision is to provide a space where creativity becomes a primary language for healing, self-discovery, and community connection. Whether you're joining us for a workshop or a private therapy session, you'll find a professional, warm, and non-judgmental environment designed to let you make space for whatever you bring with you.
